How to Delete Your Umi Account

You can request deletion of your Umi account in one of the following ways:

Option 1: Delete Your Account via the Umi App

If you’re logged into the Umi app

  1. Open the Umi app on your device
  2. Tap the Account icon in the bottom navigation bar
  3. Tap the top section that contains your name and email address 
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm your choice to permanently delete your account and associated data. You will be logged out automatically. 
  6. Enter your phone's settings and delete the Umi eSIM from your phone. 
Once your eSIM has been deleted, your account will be scheduled for deletion.

Please note that you MUST delete any eSIM from the devices they are installed for us to process your deletion request. 

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you prefer or no longer have access to the app:

  • Email us at [email protected]

  • Use the subject line: Delete My Account

  • Please send the email from the address linked to your Umi account

We will verify the request and process your account deletion within 7 days. You’ll receive a confirmation once complete.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account and eSIM

When you request to delete your Umi account, the following will happen:


  • Your account and profile will be permanently deleted

    This includes your email address, account settings, and any personal information stored in the app.

  • All active and expired eSIMs will be deactivated

    Any installed Umi eSIM profiles will stop working. You will no longer have access to any data plans associated with them.

  • Remaining data plans and balances will be forfeited

    Unused data or credit cannot be refunded or transferred once the account is deleted.

  • You will lose access to your VIP Club (if applicable)

    Your participation in any partner-branded plans or exclusive offers will end immediately.

  • You will be logged out of the app on all devices

Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. Please ensure you’ve used any remaining data or credits before submitting your request.

Retention Expectations 

In some cases, Umi may retain certain data even after your account is deleted, but only when required by law or for legitimate business purposes. For example:


  • Transaction and payment records may be retained for tax, legal, or regulatory compliance for up to 6 years, as required under applicable laws.

  • Fraud prevention data or data relevant to ongoing investigations may be temporarily retained to protect platform integrity.


All retained data is securely stored, access is restricted, and it will be permanently deleted once no longer required.

Timeframe

We process all account deletion requests within 7 calendar days.


  • If you delete your account via the Umi app, the deletion is initiated immediately.

  • If you request deletion by email, we’ll confirm your request and begin processing as soon as your identity is verified.


You’ll receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
