Welcome to Umi! Getting connected globally has never been easier. Follow these simple steps to activate your eSIM and stay seamlessly connected wherever your travels take you.

1. Download the Umi App

Begin by downloading the Umi app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Create your account or log in if you're already registered.

2. Get Your Free eSIM

When you purchase your first Umi data plan or voucher, you'll automatically receive your first Global eSIM for free. This single eSIM will work across all supported countries, eliminating the need for multiple eSIM cards for different destinations.

Need another eSIM for a second device or family member? No problem! Additional eSIMs can be purchased directly in the Umi app for just $5 each. Select "Create New eSIM" when checking out with a Data Plan (you cannot currently create an eSIM when checking out with a voucher if you already received a free eSIM. 

3.Vouchers vs Attached Plans

Both Vouchers and Attached Data Plans can be purchased from the store in the app. 

Vouchers

Our standard Vouchers never expire. They can also be sent to other Umi users by entering their email in the "Send" function. Partner vouchers may have an expiry date, depending on each partner. 

Attached Plans

When attached, either directly from the store or by attached a voucher, Unactivated Plans expire in 180 days. Attached plans cannot be unattached or sent to another user. 

4. Activating a Plan

An Attached Plan automatically activates when your Global eSIM connects to a plan supported network. You do not need to do anything to activate an Attached Plan. 


Please note thatVouchers do not activate automatically and must be attached to an eSIM.
